At Universidad Siglo 21, that journey takes many forms: choosing a degree, enrolling in classes, taking exams, managing payments, advancing in a double degree, or tracking academic progress. Each action, no matter how small, is part of a larger educational experience.

Unifying the experience so nothing interrupts learning

For years, that experience unfolded across multiple digital spaces — with separate platforms solving specific needs, yet fragmenting the journey. At Bitlogic, we partnered with Siglo 21 to face a key challenge: to unify the student experience in a single digital environment. A space where everything is connected, and every interaction feels simple, coherent, and meaningful.

That’s how the Student Portal was born — a platform that brings together all information related to coursework and academic life. From there, each student can access everything they need to move forward in their studies: view their curriculum, check subjects, grades, and certificates, enroll in classes and exams, manage payments, simulate expenses, and visualize their academic progress — all in one place.

A central space to manage the entire university experience

The portal provides direct access to the programs each student is enrolled in, integrating seamlessly with the modules for course and exam registration, and connecting to ePagos, where students can complete their enrollment or make payments directly. In addition, the payment simulator helps plan expenses and manage resources with greater autonomy, making the financial experience more transparent and predictable.

Recently, the portal introduced a key enhancement: students can now track the real-time status of their degree directly from the platform.

Universidad Siglo 21 highlights the impact of this new functionality:

“This request type was among the top 10 most frequent, averaging 1,000 inquiries per month —and peaking at up to 2,000 depending on the time of year—, consuming back-office time that is now freed up.”

An improvement that not only streamlines processes but also strengthens students’ autonomy and trust in their academic journey.

Modern technology, scalable architecture

From a technical perspective, the Student Portal was built on a modern, scalable, and secure architecture, designed to ensure a smooth experience even with high user volumes. The front-end was developed in Angular, providing an intuitive and accessible interface. On the back end, the solution is powered by Java, with APIs that efficiently connect academic and administrative systems. The entire infrastructure runs on AWS, using services such as Lambda, S3, CloudFront, and DynamoDB, ensuring scalability, availability, and security.

This project was more than a technological build — it represented an evolution in how the relationship between university and student is understood. The portal integrates seamlessly with the broader ecosystem developed alongside Siglo 21: the Admissions platform that supports the beginning of the journey, the Academic Offer tool that helps explore degrees, the Equivalences and Double Degree modules that expand academic opportunities, and the Payments system that simplifies financial management.

Together, these solutions interconnect to accompany students through every stage of their academic path.

Beyond integrations or lines of code, the real impact is felt in the everyday experience: fewer steps to enroll, less friction in administrative processes, and more autonomy to move forward.

The Student Portal doesn’t just organize information — it enhances the experience, making learning feel simple, connected, and human.
